What happens when we die.

Blog 1.8.2010 - What happens when you die.

As a medium I can help with details of the person passed and give messages from them but I thought it might be of interest to read what actually happens when you pass over.

Firstly the life force is withdrawn from the physical body. A portal is opened. The life force is then withdrawn from the etheric body. It is then withdrawn from the astral or emotional bodies and lastly it is withdrawn from the mental body. This occurs through the crown, solar plexus and/or heart chakra. We know how to leave our physical body as we do this every night when we sleep. The difference being that in death the life threads are broken or snapped.
Death is essentially a matter of consciousness, we are conscious one moment on the physical plane and a moment later we have withdrawn into another plane and are actively conscious there.
Death is governed by the Principle of Liberation and not by that of Limitation.
In don’t think we all see tunnels. I think the traditional tunnel that has been reported leading to the light is probably an hallucinatory product of stresses of the physical body. From what I can gather most of us just float out of our bodies until the bonds are broken. There are many reports of people who are on the operating table finding themselves floating above their body and watch what is going on. Their life threads are not broken and they ‘recover’.

There is a bright white light, the blinding light leading to the spirit world. There is also the sound of a musical note sounding, the person’s own note created by its soul. There is a feeling of bliss and love as we merge with the light. We are then met by the Guardians of the Threshold and Passing, spiritual beings dedicated to helping souls pass into the spiritual realm. There is always help with the transition. Children will always have a loving hand to hold. Always. When there is an earthly disaster and many souls cross over together there are many, many beings of light working hard to help everyone cross. These have been seen clairvoyantly.

After the transition we usually start meeting up with relatives and loved ones who have passed before. Now there is a delicate issue here about meeting up with someone you were quite frankly pleased never to have to deal with again. This can be a little confronting and I have had people bristle when someone from the grave wants to contact them and they, now being left alone, don’t want to be contacted. People’s personalities are the same when they pass at first but things do change. They learn, they grow and are given every opportunity to see how they may communicate from a place of love. You will definitely be treated differently when you pass, so don’t worry. Our consciousness is not our mind. It is all seen and understood. Some souls never get to the same place that you go. This leads me onto the different levels of the spirit world.

I believe that if you live a life doing your best and with love in your heart the afterlife is a truly wondrous and amazing place. There is no judgement, apart from your own. We are all able to view our lives on earth and how we may have done things differently. If we have been a person who caused harm and grief whilst on earth we may well find ourselves in a place where we still see and feel this. I don’t believe there is a hell as such but the old saying “what goes round, comes round”, does apply here. If we don’t take the earth’s experience and opportunity to grow spiritually and learn to love we may experience a place of emotions similar to those experienced on earth. All the time one is on this plane there is much teaching, help and guidance from angels and light beings so that one may learn to appreciate just how the life was lived. Some souls stay here a very long time. When this soul finally realises that it wishes to learn and grow then it will be given the opportunity to have another go. It is usually up to us when we re-incarnate but I know for sure that the spiritual plane has rules and regulations, big time, and souls of great experience (Council of Elders) will advise on this. This level is called the lower astral plane or the place of self recrimination, a place for the unloving and resentful.

I’m happy to say that most of us go to the 2nd level.(Sometimes this is called the
3rd level as there is a place of transition to go through first, a place where we work out where to go) This is called the Summerland, Heaven if you like, a paradise. No pain or suffering. A place good enough for the angels to live! A beautiful place for all of us who are trying our best. From this place we can choose to reincarnate and learn more stuff, as we aspire to move ‘higher’ to the next levels. There seems to be a lot of accounts of beautiful gardens and majestic buildings of learning and healing. As far as I can make out from what I have seen, heard and read it sort of feels just as physical as here but thoughts and knowledge can be ‘downloaded’ into you instantly. It seems to be up to you if you want to eat and drink but that doesn’t seem to be necessary. There is no decay, things just dematerialise. We are able to communicate telepathically.

The next plane is where most of the trappings of materialism have gone. This is the place where selfless souls work together to bring enlightenment to the lower planes of heaven and earth. This is where one has access to all the accumulated wisdom of the ages. Spirit guides mostly come from this plane. This is a place of learning.(I know you don't want any more school, but it's all good!

The next plane (I think there are 10 in all to get to Nirvana) is a magical place where the ascended masters hang out.

Then comes the plane of cosmic consciousness. This is the place where the soul can perfect itself even further in its journey back to the source of itself, the Creator. You have stepped from the darkness of ignorance to the lights of dawn.

7th heaven is evolutionary and is the goal. There’s not much info after this level.Purification. I think after this we don’t really have much to do with the earth’s vibrations. The final transformation takes a while!

So in short, when we die we become consciously aware of ourselves. Time becomes non existant as time is a man made means of measuring its own growth. In this state of timelessness we experience the view of the life just lived. This will often determine what we did or didn’t achieve (karma) and what we might wish to look at next time, if we choose to go on the merry go round of life again. Children have the opportunity to grow up in the spirit world. They can go and ‘visit’ their earth parents at any time and usually ‘grow’ according to earths measuring of time. I’m not entirely sure of all the aspects of this and will continue to research this area. As time is no barrier they sometimes ‘come through’ as older than when they died, and sometimes at the same age.

When it’s your turn to go, and we will all go one day, try to think nice thoughts of the divine, forgive everyone who may have harmed you in any way and let go – do not fear. Best still, try to live a life with love in your heart your whole life. Be kind to yourself and others.
There is nothing to fear – only LOVE.
